Social Media vs. Sex [Infographic]

Did you get a new iPad, tablet, or computer for Christmas? Sure is fun to have all of that convenient and instant access to your social media sites, isn’t it? It makes it so easy to update a status or tweet to your tweeps. Time sure flies while you’re posting pics to Pinterest, or browsing the Play Store for the latest and greatest app that you have to have.

Yep, time sure flies!

But after a few hours seemingly pass you by while you sat on your butt, device in hand, oblivious to the goings-on around you, you suddenly realize that you’re hungry, or tired, or…

Seem a bit far-fetched to think that you’d miss dinner, sleep, or (gasp) sex in exchange for your ‘online’ time?  It’s not. Social Media is very addictive!

I use social media in my business everyday. And, if you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you know I’m fascinated about it’s uses and opportunities. But, as with everything in life that you consider good, responsibility and moderation are vital. See: Social Media: Addiction?

In a recent article and infographic I received from Allison Morris, posted at OnlineCollegeCourses.com., participants in a survey indicated that it was more difficult to resist social media than drinking, sleeping and having sex. Wow! Younger respondents stated that they would not work for an employer who did not let them log on to Facebook during their shift. Seriously?
