At over 42,000 views, I’m obviously not the only one viewing this page everyday! (I can only hope my scoop.it page, Voiceover BlogTalk, someday reaches 42k hits).

I found this nugget of fun today, scooped by Sirenetta. It’s a chart of ‘who’s the voice behind the character’, created by, Goeff May in 2011, found on Bite.ca. Granted, there are many big-time animation voice actors not listed, like Hank Azaria, Jim Cummings, Frank Welker, Tara Strong, Harry Shearer, and others, but perhaps they’ll be included on the next chart.

Voice Over Chart

Wait a minute. Strike that. Reverse it. – Willy Wonka

Yes, Mr. Wonka, reverse it. SO much this week going on in the VO world and so little time to absorb it all. And I’m not just talking about the amazing amount of voiceover blogs.

Between keeping up with all the happenings at FaffCamp and Voice World Toronto, who has time to do much else? Of course, my bestest social media buddy and vo pal, Dave Courvoiser and I have tried to do our best to keep you updated on both of these events with our Storify pages, and I hope you’ve enjoyed following along. If you missed them, here are the links:

The FaffCamp 2013 Social Media Stream

Voice-World Social Media Stream

As for vo blogs, the Top 12 VO Blog Posts listed below are bursting at the seams with vo knowledge, motivation, education, and fun, so take some time to catch up if you may have missed these fine articles the first time.

And…if that’s not enough, I suggest you read the week-long series of articles penned by Canadian VO talent, Marc Scott, as he dove in head-first to the well visited and always controversial issue of whether or not to post your rates on your website. Marc’s articles this past week are very well thought-out and written, as he plays a little ‘devil’s advocate’ with the topic. Here’s a link to Marc’s blog where you can find this series: Marc Scott Voiceover.

Yes, Mr. Wonka, reverse it…so much to do, so little time!

Have a great week behind the mic!

Unfortunately, my schedule at home and work did not allow me to attend the latest Faff-event. This time it’s FaffCamp 2013 in Charlotte, NC, happening this weekend, May 3-5. But, I know I’m not alone in my desire to attend. In fact, my social-media mentor and fellow vo talent, Dave Courvoisier, wasn’t able to attend either.

Having shared the experience of Faffcon 2 with Dave in Atlanta in 2011, we both know how much information, fun, learning, fun, teaching, fun, experiencing, fun, and friendships will be made this weekend. It will be fun!

So we wanted to do our part for our fellow-Faffers by sharing, via social media, the happenings as reported by the FaffCamp attendees. We’ve created a Storify page that will be updated for the entire event that will allow you to see the tweets, posts & pics from FaffCamp 2013.

There are two ways to see the Storify stream:

Log onto the FaffCamp 2013 Social Media Stream – here

Follow the FaffCamp 2013 page I’ve created on my blog – here

All we ask is that if you are attending the event and sharing on Twitter, Facebook, or other media, you use the hashtag: #faffcamp

If you’re attending, have a safe trip and Great time. If you’re not attending, join us as we Faff vicariously through our talented vo friends. Happy Faffing!!
