A few weeks ago I started the Voice-Over Biz Pages on Facebook. If you’re not familiar with the page, it’s basically a News Feed of nothing but Voiceover Business Pages. To date, there are over 125 pages listed and shown daily, with over 120 followers subscribed. Most, if not all of those subscribers, are fellow vo talent whose pages are featured. I am grateful for your interest and hope you continue to check the VO Biz Pages often. It is a great way to keep with what your friends in the industry are up to.
But, as enjoyable as this may be for those of us in the business to keep up with each other, the real reason to have a VO Business Page on Facebook is to have yet another social media avenue to market your services to potential clients. Now, I have no data as to how many of you may have gleaned a client or two through you FB Biz page, but it’s always nice to have another piece of the marketing puzzle in place, just in case!
That said, as I told you in my article a few months ago, No One Seeing Your VO Facebook Fan Page? Here’s Why!, only a small percentage of those who have ‘Liked’ your page actually see it in their regular News Feed. That’s because the brainiacs at Facebook have their secret little system, known as, EdgeRank, that uses a number of confusing factors that determine who sees what on FB. Frustrating? Yes!
Thankfully there are people out there much smarter than I, who have spent their valuable time figuring out these algorithms and EdgeRanks, and are willing to share their knowledge. If you’d like to spend a few minutes finding out how to make your VO Business Page on Facebook more visible, check out Cara Pring’s article…
If you have a success story on obtaining a client through your marketing efforts on Facebook, do share!
