Just think of the frequent flyer miles that voice actor Rick Lance recently racked up, when working with his client in Hungary, to voice a movie trailer and one of the characters in the movie.
Think of the thrill of getting to share the billing with other actors like Tim Curry (Rocky Horror Picture Show), Brad Dourif (Chucky from Child’s Play), Lance Henriksen (Aliens), Michael Winslow (Police Academy), and, Sean Young (Bladerunner).
Think of the notoriety of being part of the first English-speaking Hungarian 3D feature film.
Come to Think about it (and take my tongue out of my cheek), Rick’s client made the whole experience so comfortable and accommodating, he felt like he’d never left home.
Actually, he didn’t. Rick’s performances, both voicing the trailer and the character, were done from his studio in Spring Hill, Tennessee, while his client directed him via Skype, from Hungary. The excitement with which Rick explains his experience leads me to believe he’s not too worried about his lost flyer miles.
The movie, GingerClown, is a slice ‘n dice horror movie set in 1983, in an abandoned amusement park near the Hollywood Hills. It’s set for release next year and I’m sure Rick will keep us posted.
